#NSLCBUSI heard from various professionals who work in a business-related industry in New York City. The panellists included:

Alex Diedrich Managed Service Consultant, Sprinklr
Alex Diedrich is a Managed Services Consultant at Sprinklr. He came to Sprinklr by way of Kimberly Clark in Wisconsin, where I was a Community Manager. He moved to NYC about 2 years ago for my current job at Sprinklr. Before starting his career in technology, he attended a small state university in Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He also participated in the Sports & Entertainment Management program through the NSLC summer 2010 here at Fordham University.

Sean Donnelly Community Manager, RG/A
Sean Donnelly is a Community Manager and Strategist at R/GA managing the social media platforms and assisting the strategy team for Verizon Wireless and Fios. Before joining R/GA in November, Sean was a Digital Specialist at Taylor Strategy managing the social strategy for industry leaders such as Guinness, Jordan Brand, and Procter & Gamble. He received a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Business from Penn State University in 2015. Sean developed a passion for the evolution of social media and how brands can engage with passionate audiences in a digital age.

Bo Gan Analyst, HPS Investment Partners
Bo Gan grew up and went to high school in Toledo, Ohio. He attended school at Boston College after, double majoring in finance and accounting. His first job out of college was at BDO USA LLP as a Valuation Associate, where he assessed the financial performance of various companies to reach an enterprise value. He recently transitioned to a position at HPS Investment Partners, a private equity firm, where he currently monitors the company’s assets under management and makes investing and financing recommendations for the company. Bo was a student with the NSLC’s Business program at Northwestern University and returned as a Team Advisor to this program at Fordham two years ago. In his free time, Bo enjoys traveling, playing sports, biking, or watching a good movie.

Emily Singleton Trading Desk, Jane Street
Emily Singleton graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in May 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Finance. In summer of 2017, she interned at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management in Solana Beach, CA as their Quantitative Research Intern. She will begin her post-graduate career at Jane Street, a proprietary trading firm headquartered in NYC, on their Trading Desk Operations team.

Ted Barrett Analyst, Whitehall & Company
Ted Barrett graduated from the University of Chicago in March 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. He joined Whitehall & Company in 2016 as an investment banking Analyst. Whitehall is a boutique investment bank primarily focused on financing both conventional (gas, coal, biomass) and renewable power (wind, solar, hydro) projects, as well as other projects in the infrastructure sector. Whitehall’s services include execution of mergers & acquisitions, financial advisory, and debt and equity placement.
